My birthday is coming up next week and if there’s one thing I’ve learned about getting older, it’s that my taste gets more expensive every year : )
I don’t expect to get most of these things for my birthday, but heck, it’s called a wishlist for a reason. Maybe what I should do is ask for lottery tickets, win millions, and then buy all the things with my winnings!
Rash Guard. Since I will probably go to the pool 4,000 times this summer with the boys, I need this swim shirt to protect my Nordic skin from the sun.
Birkenstocks. My beloved flip flops completely disintegrated recently and I think I’m going to jump on the bandwagon because apparently Birks are cool again! (My BFF wore Birkenstocks in middle school; she was just that cool.)
Creme de Violette. I’ve been slightly OD’ing on sangria lately so I’m ready to move on to a new signature summer cocktail: Aviation (photo credit)
Dining Room Chairs. I finally ordered a new dining room table and now I need chairs. What do you guys think of these? Too weird? Mom, don’t answer that.
Vertical Herb Garden. But here’s the thing — I don’t just want an herb garden. I want someone to design, install, plant, water, and maintain a bounty of delicious and beautiful herbs. Not too much to ask for, right? (photo source)
Outdoor Throw Blanket. This one is definitely too expensive for me, but don’t you just want to wrap yourself up in it and sit by my fire pit? (While drinking Aviation cocktails and smelling the lovely herbs from my garden, of course.)
Melamine Plates. You may be sensing a theme here…outdoors, patios, firepits, drinking…yep! To round out my outdoor living dreams, my mom got me some unbreakable plates and cute fabric napkins.
